FAVE! My Top 5 Episodes of WHAT WOULD YOU DO?

There are a lot of TV series we can choose from nowadays. There are thriller, drama, comedy, sci-fi and a whole lot more, but there is one particular TV series that I am addicted to right now. Have you seen the show “What would you do?”It is a news magazine and hidden camera show wherein they will create scenarios that are often felt by the marginalized community and then they will observe how people will react to each scenario. The main reason why I like this show is because it shows raw emotions and legitimate scenes that some of us have encountered. I absolutely love this show, so now I am sharing with you my Top 5 WHAT WOULD YOU DO EPISODES.

1. Helping the Homeless

It is one of those episodes that struck a chord with the viewers. You can feel the heartfelt dissatisfaction of those old men and alongside it was the triumphant grin of the others when they advised the homeless man to leave.  This successfully presents the natural dichotomy in our society. What are Internet Trolls?

During the 90’s, kids and kids at heart know this as a doll. A troll doll is a type of plastic doll with funny colourful furry hair depicting a troll. We saw this in several video games and troll pencil toppers. They looked funny and little eccentric to me when I was a kid but still I fell in love with these creatures. There was a sense of comfort when I play with their furry hair and touch their tan belly. I did not view troll as a creature I will fear and dislike despite their uncharacteristic look.

Then the internet generation arises, the word I adore when I was a kid will turn into a new internet slang. A slang that will sadly hunt and hurt people even with the best intentions. The word troll will take on another life wherein it will be associated with seditious, inappropriate, off-topic messages in any social media sites. We will see these internet trolls everywhere there is a topic to discuss such as a forums, chat rooms, or blogs and their primary reason is to irritate readers or to otherwise disrupt the normal flow of conversation.

Let's Turn The Table (April)

There are a lot of internet trolls out there who loves you malign and insult people online. They are often so offensive and rude that’s why they are able to cause internet commotion in sites such as Youtube and Facebook. They primarily like to criticize and offend religious belief, cultural conviction and various topics online. They love to bombard people with their rude comments yet some of them actually lack the linguistic skill to do so. This linguistic troll problem is so prevalent in sites like Youtube that I am making a list of these Youtube comments so as to perhaps shed some light on the most common misused, misspelled and abused words online. Here are some:
There means you are referring to a place.
They’re is a contraction of the words they and are.
So, it should have been “they’re not inanimate…”

Maintaining their Status in Social media

Nowadays, there are a lot of ways to share our thoughts and views on life, love and the rest. We have a handful of avenue to let our opinions flow and even to let people know of our status in life. Yes one’s status may be reflected in one’s post or photo in any social media sites. So how you are viewed by the majority is quite often generated by the tone of your writing or the content of your photo.

As I browse thru the famous social sites I stumble upon a number of posts that reflect this type of thinking. You might ask, what mentality am I talking about? I am talking about the mentality of False Gratitude. This is often cloaked by lines such as “I am so blessed, ” “Dream come true.” When used sparingly, I do get the intensity of those lines. Like “I am so blessed to have a new baby girl,” “I got promoted today! Dream come true!.”

Grammary Gland

With the advent of social media people are starting to voice their opinion more and more on sites such as Twitter and Facebook. The booming need of people to express their feelings and to document their daily happenings is at its peak. However, as I go through my Twitter and Facebook I still see a number of misused words. Words that we speak out so eloquently without false but often falter as we write them online. I am writing this primarily to simplify the usage of these words, thus my basic explanation and example.

1. THEIR – THERE

Use there when referring to a place. For example: There is a good Ice cream parlor at Jones street.
Use their to indicate possession/ownership. For example: Their things were thrown by the landlord.

WILDCARD! Alopecia Areata Cure

Two years ago I experienced a drastic hairfall problem called Alopecia Areata. Alopecia Areata typically presents itself with sudden hair loss causing patches to appear on one's scalp or other areas of one's body. I was shocked to find a bald spot on my head a couple of years back. My regular hair regimen is basically consist of shampoo and conditioner, nothing more. So it was very shocking to know that I was having this intense hairfall problem.

First thing I checked was my daily dietary intake and lifestyle. Maybe I was drinking too much coffee or perhaps lacking protein or other nutrients. With that in mind, I promptly veered away from eating meat and ate mostly fish, fruits and vegetables for the duration of about six months. I did a lot of walking in the morning too. I changed my usual sleep routine from 12midnight to 10:30pm. I was desperate so I tried to change my lifestyle.

Why we love the Mobile Phones of the 90’s.

1. NOKIA SNAKE
It was an addicting game in black and white. The primary goal of this fun game was to eat the food of the snake and then the snake will grow longer as you continue this task. For some reason I always thought of that food as an apple. It was simplicity at its best.

2. HANDY
Majority of the mobile phones in the 90's were ergonomically good for the hands. The word “hand held” best fits its design, shape and weight (hmmm..perhaps not the weight)
